For Shopify stores
Discount codes are failing at your checkout. You just can't see it.
Shopify reports the codes that work. Recoupon captures the ones that don't — the exact code your customer typed, how often it failed, and the cart value that walked away.
Read-only — never touches your discounts · No theme changes · 2-minute setup
How it works
Every failed attempt, recorded the moment it happens
A tiny Web Pixel listens for discount errors inside Shopify's own checkout — nothing is added to your theme, and your customers notice nothing.
Your customer types a code
SUMMER2O
A typo, an expired campaign, a code that doesn't apply to their cart. It happens far more often than support tickets suggest.
Shopify rejects it silently
"Enter a valid discount code or gift card"
The customer sees a generic error. The attempt appears in no Shopify report — the sale either limps on at full price or quietly dies.
Recoupon records it
invalid code SUMMER2O $699.95 cart
Code as typed, error type, cart value, timestamp. Ranked and clustered in your dashboard, with an email alert if an active code starts failing.
The dashboard
From invisible leak to ranked to-do list
The leak, at a glance
Cart value at risk, total failed attempts, recoverable typos, and how many distinct codes are failing — one honest screen, updated as it happens.
Failed codes, ranked
Every failing code sorted by attempts and recency, split between codes that don't exist (typos, expired) and codes that exist but didn't apply. Each row shows the cart value behind it.
Know the moment an active code breaks
Watching a live campaign? Set a threshold and get an email the moment your active code starts failing repeatedly — before the ad spend is wasted.

Typo clustering
The SUMMER2O problem
Customers read SUMMER20 in your email and type the letter O instead of the digit 0. Recoupon groups look-alike failures into clusters, so five baffling entries become one clear insight — and one recommendation.
Act on it your way: create the typo as an alias, fix the campaign creative, or ignore it. Recoupon recommends; it never edits your discounts.

FAQ
Fair questions
Will Recoupon slow down my checkout?
No. Recoupon is a Web Pixel that runs inside Shopify’s pixel sandbox. It adds no code to your theme, and it only does work in the moment a discount error is shown to a customer.
Does it change or create discounts?
Never. Recoupon is strictly read-only. When it spots a recoverable typo it recommends an action — for example creating SUMMER2O as an alias of SUMMER20 — but you stay in control of every discount.
What data does it store?
The failed code as typed, the error type, the cart total, your shop domain, and a timestamp. No customer names, emails, or payment details. Shopify’s GDPR webhooks are implemented, so data-erasure requests are honored automatically.
Does it work with my theme and Checkout Extensibility?
Yes. Because it listens to Shopify’s own checkout events rather than scraping your pages, it works with any theme and with Shopify’s standard web checkout — no setup beyond installing the app.
How soon will I see data?
As soon as a customer’s code fails — stores running active discount campaigns usually see their first failed attempts within days. The free plan captures everything from day one.
What happens if I uninstall?
Remove the app from your Shopify admin like any other. Shopify then sends us the shop-redact request and your event data is deleted.
